| New Free Motion Quilting Design #364 "Tension Waltz" |
For years and years, I have stitched this as a basic tension test.When a student is having issues with their machine, I stitch this to check and see if it is a machine or needle problem.
The combination of curves, straight lines and quick reversals of direction show me how the machine is working, however …… I’ve never really considered this to be a design in its own right, until now.
With an amazing number of wonderful name suggestions, the winning name was chosen by popular vote, (Facebook & Instagram) at 6:00 PM (PDT) on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
This design is now called “Tension Waltz”.

Hand guided on a standard bed machine with 40 weight rayon thread and a 75/11 Quilters needle.
