"Scraptacular" Quilts From Popcorn Cans
1 or 2 hours
For years I have stored my leftover scraps of fabric in popcorn cans.
The cans look pretty and
keep the fabric dust free, wrinkle free and safe from sunlight but….it’s time for
these carefully stored fabrics to become quilts (before the house falls down
from the weight). Come and watch as beautiful quilts, some classic, some
modern emerge from the “Popcorn Cans”!
Pattern hand out available in hard copy or by E mail
“More Quilts From
Popcorn Cans”
As above…new
patterns and designs.
“Still More Quilts
From Popcorn Cans”
As above..still
more patterns and designs.
Fun With Fat ¼’s
1 or 2 hours
Fat ¼’s are fun to
collect, trade and give as gifts.
They can be
purchased in pretty matching bundles or as individual little treats.
Let’s
explore some great ways to use your stash of fat ¼’s. Placemats, pillows, table
runners and of course quilts are just some of the fun things we can do with fat
¼”s.
An Afternoon (Evening) At The Improv (Quilt)
NEW 1 to 2 Hour interactive demo
Improvisational
patchwork, also known as free piecing is a method of patchwork that consists of
sewing pieces of fabric together without the use of precise measurements.
The resulting
quilts can have a fresh “Modern” appearance even though this is a time honored
method of patchwork.
This interactive demonstration will underscore the fun side of what is often called “Improv”
piecing as those in attendance are invited to interrupt my demo by piecing a
few sections, stealing my fabric, changing my color scheme and even chopping up
what I have already pieced.
The resulting quilt (or portion of) will be fabulous.
Oh the fun we will
have.
Laughter guaranteed!
