A Between is a term used for a mini
class that takes place between the afternoon and evening guild meeting.
These classes are
usually hands on and 1 to 2 hours in duration but may also be presented as a Zoom PowerPoint if preferred.

An exploration of what
Free Motion Quilters are looking for in terms of stitch quality and balanced
tension.
We’ll take the fear out of free motion tension
adjustment as we adjust the thread tension dial to stitch out samples of both
“poor tension” as well as correct balanced tension.
Introduction to Free Motion Quilting on a Drawn Line

Cutting, pressing
and sewing techniques all play a role in achieving a perfect ¼” seam allowance
so that you too can achieve the correct size blocks or segments every time!
Stack, Cut, Sew and Go
Stack some fat ¼’s or squares of your favorite
fabrics, cut them into pieces, mix them up, sew them together and trim.

Reversible Quilt As You Go
Log Cabin Placemat
Students will make a double
sided log cabin placemat that is quilted during the construction. Perfect for meals
on wheels and gift giving. Techniques learned in this class can also be used to make table runners or quilt blocks.
