“Free Motion Quilting with Stencils”

at Quilt Canada 2022 in Vancouver B.C.

Quilting stencils are available in literally hundreds of different sizes, themes and styles making them the easiest and least expensive way to add detailed, custom, free motion quilting to all of your quilted items.

You can achieve the look of hand quilting, ruler quilting or quilting with a pantograph with nothing more than a standard Darning Foot, stencil and something to mark your fabric.

In this class you will learn a variety of marking techniques for working with stencils, correct hand and body positioning for free motion quilting and how to smoothly guide your fabric as you quilt a small sample that may be used after class to create a lovely pillow or bag.

Working with stencils is one of the best ways to quickly improve your free motion quilting skills.

Sewing machines provided.
Kit purchased at start of class includes all supplies needed for a relaxed learning experience.
