“The Magic of Thread Painting”

There is only one spot left in my Thread Painting workshop
at Quilt Canada 2022 in Vancouver B.C.

Thursday June 16, 1:00 to 4:00 PM

Thread Painting can be used to make one of a kind art quilts, add detail to both hand and machine appliqué or even to embellish printed panels to make them truly outstanding.

In this class students will create a lovely thread painted rose as they learn how to use fusible web appliqué as a base for thread painting, thread painting without appliqué, correct layering and stabilization, what sewing machine needles and feet to use, how your thread choices effect visual texture plus several free motion thread painting techniques including straight stitch brush strokes, side motion zig zag, slanted zig zag, free motion satin stitch and how to create a blended color palette with multiple threads.
